White and Pink Lake Tahoe Wedding {REAL WEDDING}

It was a perfect May day in Lake Tahoe. The air crisp, but not cold. The sun warm, but not too hot. The sky and lake brilliant. I'm reminded of the beauty pageant portion of Miss Congeniality when Miss Rhode Island says her perfect date is April 25th. "All you need is a light jacket". Setting up this wedding on the Cottage's Lawn at The Hyatt in Incline Village is what I call a perfect working day at the Lake.

A fan of Pink and White myself, I was so excited to execute the florals from our very first consultation. Finally, when the wedding day arrived, the smell of Peonies and Ana Roses filled the air. As a Florist, our nose becomes incapable of the smelling. When I worked at a retail shop, I always loved how guests sucked the air in their lungs and commented on how beautiful it was. This day, the fragrance was present. What a special treat!

The Bouquets were composed of a base of White Hydrangea. Its the perfect softness that allows an elegant round shape. Pink Peonies in varying stages of openness and Ana Roses poked through the top of the bouquet. Italian Ruscus provided a dark foliage to match the Pine Tree surrounding.

I can remember setting up the florals for the arch, my Assistant holding the ladder and my 31 week Bump Body, as we both agreed this was a little silly. More flowers I insisted, filling the Crossbar with blossoms and foliage. The amount was perfect, layers of Hydrangea, Roses, Ruscus, Asparagus, and Eucalyptus.

Down the Aisle, mason jars with complimenting designs of Hydrangea, Roses, and Waxflower hung on the inner chairs. Petals in Pink and White marked the aisle for the Bride and wedding party to walk.

As we were installing that space we had the pleasure of seeing the three Flower Girls try on their halos. I always enjoy when little girls see flowers, a halo almost instantly makes anyone feel like a Princess, and rightfully so. I'm 31 years old and I enjoy a Princess moment.

For the Reception, budvases of Ana Rose and Peony Buds sat on the Cocktail tables, while Silver Compotes filled with blossoms graced the Guest Tables.

To keep dessert simple, a few Ana Roses and Spray Roses decorated the cutting cake.
