Beauty and the Beast Inspired Real Wedding

Ever since I was a little girl Beauty and the Beast has been a favorite Disney movie of mine. I even dressed Everleigh up as Belle for Halloween and myself up as Belle. Really, this tale is as old as time....

To be asked by Angelina, Coordinator, at The Entertainer to help partake on making this Bride and Groom's special day and make it Disney perfect was such an honor. Every little detail from the shoes, outfit, tables, and room décor was perfect for a wedding nod to the movie. The wedding took place in Genoa, Nevada, at 1862 David Walley's Resort and Hot Springs.

On the Couple's Sweetheart Table a single Red Rose sitting under a cloche sat. Each guest's plate had a hand mirror favor and thank you tag. The Bride's shoes had a silhouette of The Beast and Belle. The Bridesmaids wore Gold dresses with White Fur Stoles while the men wore Navy with Gold accent bowties. Red and Blue Floral popped against the elegant Gold dresses.

The Bridal Bouquet was composed of Hearts and Black Baccara Roses, Blue Thistle, Burgundy Hanging Amaranthus, Rosemary, and Seeded Eucalyptus. The Bridesmaids carried a smaller more simple version of the Bridal Bouquet. The men wore a boutonniere of Black Baccara Rose with Rosemary and Seeded Eucalyptus Accent. Gold Stem wrap finished the design.

Each Guest Table dawned a different character from the movie as the theme for the centerpiece. Table 1) Mrs. Pott's table was adorned with a Sterling Silver Serving Tray, stack of books and Tea Pot with faux Hanging Amaranthus spilling tea. Florals in Peach, Burgundy, Blue, and White accompanied the design. Table 2) Belle's table graced a stack of books and ornate candelabra. Two smaller arrangements of flowers in complimenting colors sat in Gold Mercury votive cups. Table 3) Cogsworth's table dawned several styles of clocks with floral tucked in. Table 4) The Beast's Table had a more masculine approach with wood slice, pinecone, moss, and antler. To tie in the blue of his outfit, the floral design set inside a Cobalt Blue Glass Jar. Table 5) Lumiere's Table was lit with Gold Mercury Votive Cups and a Gold Candlestick. Floral set in a Gold Mercury Glass Vase. Table 6) Gaston's Table took a very masculine approach with Wood Slice, Oil Lantern, Antler, and Gold Pillar Candlestick. Floral in complimenting colors were placed in Gold Mercury Votive, while a red mercury votive cup was set to mimic his outfit.

Other notable decorations were the "Guest Book" created by Rich Ellis, Co-owner of The Entertainer. Each Guest was able to write a message or sign a "fallen" wood rose petal and then place it inside the wood cloche keepsake. The Guest Book was literally Fairytale books framed inside a mossy backdrop. Over the mantle where the couple said I do, another keepsake set by Handcrafted Signage. The Desert Station had Cake Pops for Guests and a cutting cake for the Bride and Groom decorated with a piped Stain Glass Rose.

It was so much fun to be a part of this Fairytale Wedding and provide the Wedding Floral. Such imagination and personalization to a fun themed wedding.
